UP developed predominately for The Inland Real Estate Corporation's Southeast REIT up until the REIT was sold to Developers Diversified Realty Corporation (DDR) in 2007. The principal of UP Development, Scott Fish has been instrumental in successfully managing both new development projects and workout projects. Scott is noted for often stating that: "there isn't a deal that cant be fixed, you just got to want to fix it"

We currently have built and under construction over half a million square feet of retail in the worst economy since 1957. Credit is nearly impossible to secure. Yet even in these tough times, we are able to see opportunities in re-developing urban areas that were skipped over while retailers chased new growth. We emphasize the re-development and/or expanded use of existing buildings and infrastructure rather than promoting the suburban sprawls promoted heavily in the 90's.
